Memberships paid in USDC on Base: approve once, it renews itself.
Problem: Creators and small clubs with members abroad lose payments to declined foreign cards, processor fees and delayed payouts.
Solution: Members sign one capped spend permission. A renewal runner pulls it on the 1st, reminds first, retries in grace, and can never take more than agreed or keep going after a revoke.
Why now: Spend permissions on Base, cheap gas and embedded wallets make recurring stablecoin billing practical for people who are not developers.
Market: Creators, studios, clubs and co-ops with members in many countries, starting where cards fail most.
The ask: Pilot clubs with members across borders, and ecosystem grants for stablecoin payments on Base.
Funding is never guaranteed. Check each program's rules.

Custom work from $300: your own perks and content types, Discord or community platform integrations, extra languages, or a branded deployment on your domain. Scoped on a call.
Creators and small clubs with members abroad lose payments to declined foreign cards, processor fees and delayed payouts. Many of their members already hold USDC but have no simple way to pay a membership that renews.
Recurring stablecoin billing already exists: Base Account spend permissions let a member grant a capped, periodic allowance to an app, and services such as Loop Crypto and streaming protocols such as Superfluid offer crypto subscriptions. What this app adds is packaging, not a new primitive: an owner-branded membership page on your own domain and wallet, reminders and a grace window around each pull, and plain-language receipts. Modest novelty; the value is that a non-developer can run it.
Member wallet addresses and their allowance (amount, period, start), each pull's transaction hash, renewal status, and the member's email for reminders. Emails and perks live in the owner's app database, never onchain.
Let anyone with members anywhere be paid on the 1st, in full, without asking a card network for permission.
One signature Members approve a capped allowance once and never think about it again, like a normal membership.
They stay in control The allowance can never take more than agreed, and members revoke it from their own wallet in one tap.
Nobody gets cut off by surprise A reminder before renewal and a few days of daily retries mean an empty wallet is a nudge, not a lockout.
Wallets: Members sign in with a Base Account or any smart wallet that supports spend permissions; Privy embedded wallets for members new to crypto.
Allowance: The member signs a spend permission for USDC on Base: token, allowance per period, period length and the app's spender address. No custom contract is deployed by the owner.
Renewal runner: A scheduled job (for example a Convex cron) calls the spend permission to pull the amount on renewal day and forwards it to the owner's payout wallet. Failed pulls retry daily for the grace window.
Reminders: Email or Telegram reminders a set number of days before renewal, and a notice when a pull fails or an allowance is revoked.
Access: Membership status is read from the latest successful pull and gates the owner's content, Discord role or live sessions.
Indexer: A light indexer or a Base RPC log query records pulls and revocations so receipts and the owner dashboard stay accurate.
Each pull is one transaction on Base, typically well under one cent in gas, paid by the owner's spender wallet. With 140 members renewing monthly that is roughly 140 transactions, usually under $1 a month in gas, plus hosting on a free or low tier. There is no percentage fee taken by the app itself. Gas prices vary, so check current Base fees.
Members share a card that shows how long they have been in the club, and each member can invite a friend with a free first month. Owners in places where cards fail most have the strongest reason to switch and to tell other creators.
Taxes and rules: Payments in USDC are usually taxable income and some countries have specific rules on accepting stablecoins. Keep records and check locally. Nothing here is legal or tax advice.
Members without USDC: Many members do not hold USDC on Base. Keep an existing payment option running in parallel and publish a short guide.
Spender key security: The spender wallet can pull up to each member's allowance. Keep its key in a secure signer, limit it to pulls, and send funds straight to the owner's payout wallet.
Price changes: An allowance caps the amount, so a higher price needs every member to re-approve. Communicate early and keep the old price until they do.
Failed renewals: Empty wallets on renewal day are the main failure mode. Reminders and a grace window reduce it; they do not remove it.

USDC Subscription lets your members approve once and pay you in USDC on Base every month, with no card processor taking a cut or freezing your account. On a hosted membership platform, the platform holds your member list, sets the fee and can switch you off. Own it and the payments land in your wallet, the member list is yours, and every renewal is on your onchain record.
You do not need to. You set your price, name, logo and color, share the link, and members approve once.
Some will not. Start with members who already hold USDC on Base, and post a short guide for the rest. Keep your old payment option running in parallel until most have moved.
The renewal fails and they lapse, just like a declined card. Send a friendly reminder a few days before renewal so they can top up.
In many places it is allowed, but it is usually taxable income and some countries have specific rules. Keep records of every payment, check your local rules, and talk to an accountant before you scale.
