Attendance-based reputation for local clubs: run clubs, study groups, and meetups.
Try it live, freeChidi has run with a 6am club for a year. Showed Up checks him in by NFC tag, and his 200 run streak gets him a free race entry from a sponsor.
Club page, QR or NFC check in, streak attestations, leaderboard.
Reshape it entirely: new features, your flows, your brand end to end, integrations you need. We scope it with you.
Streaks and NFC attestations exist separately; a club-owned recurring attendance record is a modest combination.
Runera and MovrChain track running streaks onchain, a Gitcoin-funded project explores NFC plus ZK attendance attestations, and POAP covers single events.
Checked with web searches in October 2026. A search is not proof that nothing similar exists, and the market moves fast, so we recheck before every build.
Consumer onchain app; eligibility unknown.
The complete Showed Up app: local clubs check members in by tapping a post or scanning a rotating code, keep streaks with rain days and freezes, run a club board, and let sponsors fund milestones, with plans and checkout built in.
Every buyer gets the same finished app. Basic branding and copy changes come through a quick form.
Your admin side: revenue, paywall editor, users, rules and the agent log.
Referral and growth mechanics, switched on when you are ready to grow.
One club up to 40 members is free. Clubs pay monthly for Club plus, and brands or leagues running many clubs pay for Network.
No fees on members. Check in attestations cost a few dollars a month per club when batched.
Prices are yours to set. Illustrative, not a promise of income.
Attendance based reputation for local clubs, where consistency becomes a reward.
Problem: Run clubs, study groups and meetups track attendance in spreadsheets and group chats, which are easy to fake and invisible to sponsors.
Solution: Tap to check in at the meeting point, streaks with rain days and freezes, an attestation per check in, and sponsor milestones on top.
Why now: Cheap attestations on Base and Celo, NFC on every phone, and local sponsors looking for real engaged communities.
Market: Run clubs, fitness groups, study groups and meetups, and the local brands that sponsor them.
The ask: Pilot with ten Lagos run clubs and one sports brand sponsor.
Funding is never guaranteed. Check each program's rules.
Many hackathons require code written at the event. See the Regatta Boardfor each race's rule.
Custom work from $500: your club type and rules, a sponsor branded network, wearable or beacon check in, or league tables. Scoped on a call.
Run clubs, study groups and meetups live on people showing up, but attendance sits in a captain's head or a WhatsApp thread. Regulars get no credit they can carry, sponsors cannot reward consistency without trusting a spreadsheet, and clubs lose the record when the organiser moves on.
Pieces exist. Runera and MovrChain track running streaks onchain, a Gitcoin funded project explores NFC plus zero knowledge attendance attestations, and POAP covers one off events. Strava and club apps track activity but not club owned attendance. What is less common is a recurring attendance record owned by the club, with rules the club sets (window, late, rain days, freezes) and streaks a member can carry. It is a modest combination, not a new primitive.
Club rules and member list (first name or nickname, a wallet created at sign up). Signed check in codes from an NFC tag or a rotating QR. Per check in: club id, member wallet, date and status (on time, late, rain day, freeze). No GPS trail, no health data.
Make showing up count, for the people who keep a club alive.
The tap at the post One tap at the meeting point and a stamp lands. The ritual is quick and physical.
A streak with fair rules Rain days and freezes mean life does not wipe out a year of effort, so people keep going.
Milestones people see Morning 50, 100, 200 show on the club board and can unlock perks a local sponsor chooses to offer.
Sign in and wallets: Phone number or email sign in with an embedded wallet (for example Privy) on Base or Celo. Members never handle gas; the club's paymaster sponsors it.
Check in: An NFC tag (NTAG 424 DNA style, which signs a fresh message each tap) or a QR that rotates every 30 seconds on the captain's phone. The server verifies the signature and the time window.
Fraud checks: One phone, one member per window. A second tap for another member from the same device is held for the captain. Optional: phone must be on the club wifi or within a coarse area, never stored.
Attestations: Each valid check in writes an EAS attestation on Base (or a Celo contract event): club id, member wallet, date, status. Daily batching keeps gas low.
Club agent: A small model (for example a Haiku or mini class model) writes the Saturday digest, flags odd patterns for the captain and suggests rule changes. It never edits records on its own.
Leaderboard and perks: An indexer reads attestations into a club board. Sponsors can set a milestone perk and verify it with one signed query.
Per check in: one attestation on Base, typically well under $0.01 in gas, less when batched daily. Digest: about 2,000 tokens per club per week on a small model, under $0.01. NFC tags cost roughly $1 to $3 each. Example: a 60 member club checking in 20 mornings a month is about 1,200 attestations, a few dollars a month in gas plus hosting. Check current gas and model prices before launch.
Each club brings its members at once. Milestone share cards travel on WhatsApp and Instagram, and local sponsors bring the next club because they want the same board in another neighbourhood.
Proxy taps: Friends will tap for friends. Signed tags, one member per device per window and captain review reduce it; they cannot eliminate it.
Privacy and safety: A record of where someone is at 6 AM is sensitive. Locations are never written onchain, names default to first names, and members can hide from the public board.
Unfair streak loss: Rain, illness and travel break streaks. Rain days and freezes exist so the record stays humane.
Sponsor promises: Perks are offered by sponsors and can change or end. The app never promises a reward.
Lost tag: A stolen or damaged tag is revoked from the club page, and the captain's rotating QR works as a fallback.

Nine routes from one vessel. Tap a port to open its chart.
Run clubs, study groups and meetups run on loyalty, but the record of who kept showing up lives in a group chat that scrolls away. Showed Up checks members in by QR or NFC tag and turns their attendance into a streak attestation they own, which sponsors can reward. Owning it means the club pages, the sponsor deals and the subscription revenue are yours, and your own club is the first proof it works.
Yes. The club page, QR or NFC check in, streak attestations and leaderboard are built. You set the chain, name and colors and deploy from your wallet with the guide. NFC tags cost a few dollars.
Most just want to tap and go. Use the simplest login the app offers, check people in for them on the first day, and explain later that the streak is theirs to keep.
Rotate the QR code each session or use an NFC tag at the venue, and let the organizer void suspicious check ins. It is good enough for a club, not a court.
Local running shops, cafes and gyms often reward loyal community members. Start by asking for small rewards (free coffee, race entry) and grow from there.
A club of 15 regulars is a perfect start. Streaks matter more in small clubs where everyone notices.
Clubs pay a small monthly fee per club for check in, streaks and leaderboards. Sponsors pay for rewards placements aimed at the most consistent members.
