A friend backed guard that tops up your margin by rule when liquidation gets close, for a fee you agreed.
Try it live, freeTolu trades perps; her cousin keeps a reserve in Margin Buddy. When Tolu's position gets within five percent of liquidation, the reserve adds margin and Tolu owes a small fee back.
Watcher, reserve vault, rule editor, fee ledger, alerts.
Reshape it entirely: new features, your flows, your brand end to end, integrations you need. We scope it with you.
Auto top up bots exist privately; a peer backed, rule based margin guard was not found.
Private keeper bots; HyperLend.
Checked with web searches in October 2026. A search is not proof that nothing similar exists, and the market moves fast, so we recheck before every build.

The complete Margin Buddy app: a trader and a backer they trust sign a rope that adds margin by rule when liquidation gets close, with a hard cap the backer sets, a repayment ledger and onchain receipts.
Every buyer gets the same finished app. Basic branding and copy changes come through a quick form.
Your admin side: revenue, paywall editor, users, rules and the agent log.
Referral and growth mechanics, switched on when you are ready to grow.
Backers never pay. Traders pay a small app fee only on nights the rope fires, charged on repayment. Groups who want more backers or club reserves pay a monthly plan.
The owner sets the app fee per top up (0 to 1%). Gas on top ups and repayments is cents on HyperEVM and can be sponsored by the owner.
Prices are yours to set. Illustrative, not a promise of income.

Problem: Perp traders get liquidated in short wicks while they sleep, often minutes before price comes back. Friends who would lend a few hundred dollars of USDC are never awake at the right moment, and an open ended promise puts their money at unclear risk.
Solution: Trader and backer sign one rule set: trigger distance, top up size, a nightly cap and a fee. A keeper reading the mark price adds margin from the backer's vault, which can only pay the trader's account, and a ledger tracks repayment.
Why now: Hyperliquid and HyperEVM make margin and vault transactions cost cents, embedded wallets remove the setup wall for non trading backers, and keepers can watch every block cheaply.
Market: Retail perp traders on Hyperliquid and the friends, family and small trading clubs who already informally back each other.
The ask: Hyperliquid ecosystem builder support and two trading clubs to pilot Desk reserves.

Automatic margin top up already exists as private keeper bots that traders run on their own funds, and lending markets on HyperEVM such as HyperLend let you borrow against collateral. What we did not find is a peer backed guard: a named backer's reserve, a rule set both people sign, a hard cap the backer sets, and a repayment plus agreed fee tracked in one ledger. Research verdict: medium novelty; the top up mechanic itself is not new.
The trader's position (mark price, liquidation price, margin) read from Hyperliquid, the signed rule set (trigger distance, top up size, nightly cap, fee, repayment window), the backer's vault balance, and every top up and repayment transaction. Chats, phone numbers and the trader's strategy stay offchain.
Let the people who already trust each other catch each other in a wick, with rules both sides can read and a cap the backer controls.
A rope with a visible length The backer sees the cap before signing and never more than the cap can move in a night.
Both phones ping When the rule fires, the trader learns margin was added and the backer learns exactly what is owed and by when.
The Sunday rope check A ten minute weekly review together: is the reserve right, has the position changed, keep the trigger. Repayment streaks show on both sides.
Wallets: Privy embedded wallets for trader and backer, with the backer's USDC held in a vault contract on HyperEVM that can only send to the trader's Hyperliquid account.
Signed rule set: Trigger distance (3, 5 or 8 percent), top up size, nightly cap, fee and a 5 day repayment window are signed by both and stored as a hash onchain.
Watcher: A keeper polls the position once a minute and every block once inside twice the trigger. It reads the mark price the exchange liquidates on, not last trade, and keeps a small buffer in the margin math.
Top up: When distance falls below the trigger, the vault sends the agreed size as margin, at most once per 30 minutes and never past the cap.
Repayment and fee: The trader repays each top up plus the agreed fee into the vault. A 0.5% app fee on top ups funds the keeper and gas.
Ledger and alerts: An indexer over vault events powers both dashboards, the receipts view and push or messaging alerts.
Most nights cost nothing beyond polling. Keeper hosting and RPC roughly $20 to $40 a month for a few hundred watched positions; each top up and repayment is a HyperEVM transaction costing cents. Example: a $300 top up at 2% fee returns $6 to the backer; the 0.5% app fee is $1.50, which covers the transactions with room for the keeper.
Every top up pings two people, and the backer often becomes a trader or backs a second friend. The share card shows a wick caught with the cap visible, which invites the exact conversation the app makes easy: would you be my backer.
It cannot stop a loss: A top up buys time and puts more money in the trade. The app says so before signing, and the cap is the backer's limit on that risk.
Wrong price, failed top up: Reading the wrong price can make the exchange refuse margin. The watcher uses mark price, keeps a buffer, and retries within the same block window.
Repayment default: The trader may not repay. Repayment is a promise between people, not enforced credit; streaks are visible and the backer can pause the rule at any time.
Keeper downtime: If the watcher is offline the rope does nothing. Redundant keepers, health alerts to both people, and no claim of guaranteed coverage.
Regulation: Peer lending with fees can be regulated in some countries. Owners should check local rules; the app does not market fees as returns.

Margin Buddy: A friend backed guard that tops up your margin by rule when liquidation gets close, for a fee you agreed. Using someone else's version means their rules, their brand and their revenue.
