Every event has its own rule on projects that existed before the hackathon. Some allow it if you disclose it, some require only new work to be judged. Read it before you start and follow it exactly.
Hi, I own and run Library of Things, which is already live. For this event, can I build a new feature on top of it if I clearly separate what was built during the hackathon? Thanks for clarifying.
Choose one feature that fits the track, for example an item map for a street, or reminders when a loan is due back. Write what done looks like in three bullet points.
Build it, record a two minute demo showing a real user flow, and submit with a clear before and after note. Name teammates honestly.
After submitting, find one judge or mentor in the event channel and ask for one piece of feedback. That takes nerve and often leads to more than the prize ever would. Prizes are never guaranteed.
Hi, I submitted Library of Things to the community and public goods track. If you have a minute, what is the one thing that would make it more useful for real users? Thanks either way.
