WHY THIS ROUTE

Glass Box is a working base you can extend at a hackathon, but only where the rules allow existing code.

NEXT MOVE · WITHIN THE HOUR

1. Browse the Regatta Board

20 min

Open /hackathons on DEPLOYR and filter for events on Base or with an AI, payments, or public goods track. Shortlist three.

2. Read each event's rule on existing code

20 min

For each shortlisted event, find the rule on prior work. Some allow you to extend an existing project if you disclose it, others require everything new. Only enter events where extending Glass Box is allowed.

FIRST MESSAGE · EVENT DISCORD OR TELEGRAM · TO THE HACKATHON ORGANISERS

Hi, I own a deployed app called Glass Box on Base. Is it okay to extend it during the hackathon if I clearly disclose what existed before and only submit the new work? Thanks.

3. Plan a new feature for the weekend

40 min

Write down one new feature you will build during the event, for example a public receipt checker page anyone can paste a receipt into. Keep it small enough to demo in two minutes.

4. Find one teammate

15 min

Post in the event's team channel asking for one person with a skill you lack, such as design or frontend.

FIRST MESSAGE · HACKATHON TEAM CHANNEL · TO OTHER PARTICIPANTS

Looking for one teammate. I have a working Base app (Glass Box) and want to add a public receipt checker page anyone can paste a receipt into this weekend. Need a designer or frontend person. DM me.

5. Submit and demo live (takes nerve)

120 min

Record a two minute video and submit before the deadline, clearly marking what was built during the event. Prizes are never guaranteed, the shipping is the win.
